Dealing With Racist Incidents

This workshop is designed to build staff confidence in recognising, responding to, and educating through racist incidents in schools. The workshop aims to help participants understand their legal responsibilities, be clear why immediate action is essential when dealing with a racist incident, learn practical strategies to centre the victim, explore educational rather than punitive responses with the perpetrator and build staff confidence in addressing racist incidents.

The session will be delivered through both a lecture style talk, and practical scenarios where participants have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt.
