I retired in December 2013 after 25 years of headship in junior and primary schools in Croydon and Brighton.
I have worked as a consultant for Brighton and Hove on closing the gap strategies for pupils of colour and on recruitment of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic teachers.
I am a coordinator of a mentoring programme for students of colour at Brighton University.
I am currently contracted to deliver identity-based mentoring programmes between university students and pupils of colour in Sussex schools.
I have delivered mentoring training to Sussex and Brighton Police and am a community advocate and mentor for Sussex Police.
I hold and MA in Curriculum Institutional Development and Action Research
I work at the University of Brighton as the Social Mobility and Mentoring Manager and I work as a freelance trainer and executive coach.
I oversee a range of mentoring programmes including identity-based programmes for students of colour and LGBTQ+ students. I facilitate a Black Leadership Programme at the University of Brighton where I also create initiatives that support social mobility.
I hold a Level 7 Diploma in Equity Inclusion and Organisational Diversity. I am also a Fellow of the Institute for Equity.
I was a Chair of Governors for 6 years and trustee of a small education charity. I am currently a mentor for 2 organisations.
